| Notice the heading. Yes, I AM suggesting that there will be a banquet in 2010. Karen would prefer it be in the same venue as this year. We have the accomodation, which we're assuming will be there still only better in two years. We have the venues, Bube's and Annie Bailey's, that were just outstanding I think. And who could say they saw all of the Pa. Renn Faire???
So, here's what we do, we have 104 weeks before the next banquet, or thereabouts. We know it'll take 110-120 dollars each for the banquet. On top of that you have your transportation and off venue meals, snacks,drinks and so on. Those of you who said they just couldn't do it this year because of whatever finances or time constraints...................... plan it!!
Put in for the vacation time NOW! Well, kidding but mark this past week as part of your vacation time in two years. Then, and here's the hard part: Divide the cost of this year's banquet into those, say 100 weeks. Put that much aside each week in a jar, a barrel, a bucket, under the mattress, er, keep it out of the banks for the time being. When it's banquet time you'll not only have the deposit and the time off, you'll have the travel money and food money!!
It's not hard to do and when you break it down by paychecks it doesn't hurt as much as trying desperately to get it all together.

| Joe and I really enjoyed the time we spent with all of you. We are definately planning on being at the next one in 2010. However, if things go the way we are hoping, we might see if the ones that are close by would join us there 2009 for a medieval wedding. Sound good? Will keep you posted. By the way, anyone flying in from out of state, check Philly and Atlantic City airports, both are 45 minutes from Joe and I and we should be able to pick you up and take you back. We look forward to seeing you all again. |
