| I need to point out that Ali and Ray together have been working on this new system for dice, with my approval. This is NOT anything different from what you are doing now. The dice may be different but those who don't use dice probably won't still and those who do will have more xp's and such to play with when we play with other realms as it aligns us with their dice play. I DO urge you to look over the tables and think about using dice in some of your rp. Mel was either going to live or die a couple of times and it all came down to a dice roll. That's called free form. Just as in life, it's a chance. Those in the divisions that USE dice, I do urge you to keep track and turn in your points. It's nice that we play and have fun but there does have to be a purpose to our group or we're just another RhyDin tavern. Even THEY use dice for the dart board. ::smirks:: Let's get behind this and work on it. | |

| I don't know. I've ALWAYS been free form. I usually don't use dice, but its mostly because I've been a non-comm about anyplace I've been that's had organization.. I mean.. Really.. How useful is a doll sized faery in combat, lol?! However, for Irina (the bow using elf) dice seem like they're more necessary. I know I have a hard time deciding when to 'take' the shot versus when, as a non-perfect character, she misses the target. At least, with the dice, there's that random aspect. When appropriately used dice can actually make it a little easier to organize combat and other similar situations. If it were the only system and there were no others, IE the new XP chart, for progression I'd be more worried in the 'what about Lil' way, but with the creation of the new XP chart, which we DEFINITELY seem to need as we gain what seems to be a pretty awesome set of new players, I know I've got options. It seems pretty useful to have a clearly defined set of 'need to meet' criteria to get there. Heavens knows it'll make the DC's lives easier. | |

ME : Born Aisling Marie Sheehan, in Land's End Scotland to a prominent family. Highly educated in the fields of higher learning.
Spirit guided to Solurius to study under the well-known leadership of the Royal Order of Healers, under it's commander, Healer Elyas. Through test and trial, was granted elemental healing powers by the light.
Married First Knight Sir Aiden Reinhart, then through the sudden departure of Elyas, became the Commander of Healers in Solurius.
Against the law of nature, Ash and Aiden became parents of twins, Kyriah (Baroness SeaCrest) and Caliban (Deceased). Later they were blessed with a third child Jonathan.
Aisling hosts a phoenix, given to her by her angelic husband, giving her extreme healing when transformed into the firebird.
Aiden and Kyriah went on a quest to destroy a powerful Dark Lord that plagued and endangered their family. Kyriah returned with little memory of the quest, but her father has yet to return. Ash and Kyriah await with hopeful hearts.
Aisling now leads the healer's in an effort to keep good health in the lands, watches over her daughter and grandchild, and prays everynight for her husband's return.

| A system will only be as strong as the support behind it. It will only last as long as the players stick to it. Soooo...you find one that everyone can deal with, that is easy enough to not be a burden yet action must be taken to promote, and if the majority of the members find it equitable, it survives. This system seems to give those that wish to move up, the opportunity. Those that choose to just play day to day and not ambitious in their roleplaying, they do not have to support the dice for themselves. Could work. Its when the support lags or becomes to complicated that the system dies away. | |
