The land before Solurius

I was asked today who was here in Solurius before us. This is not something that was easily researched. Very little was written about the previous "tenants" of the land but this much is known, they were pirates that used a portion of Solurius as their base of operations. ::Mel dipped his quill while thinking then placed it to parchment again::

While we placed our flag where the castle stands today, we built the first high upon a craggy hill overlooking a valley. We hired many workers and some comments made while construction was underway for the castle were primarily whether WE were also pirates. Those that resided here when we came were looking for someone to protect them from marauders from the East. RhyDin had no good reputation then and not much has changed since.

No, we assured them we were from the lands North known as Dragonskeep. A few were scared that we would bring the wrath of the dragon on them but we assured them that it was merely a sanctuary for dragons and they would not harm them. There was no national structure in the land. There really was no name they called it, simply stated, they called it home. Fears that we would drive them from this land were soon put to rest. We assured everyone we were here to help them, protect them and help build this land into the greatest land on this earth.

Pirates came and went but soon realized Solurius was no longer a friendly port of call for those who stole on the high seas. One of those pirates stayed though. And with that we began our journey. We have gained many friends, we have lost a few, some tragically but we survive and will through the coming years. ::With that he put the quill in it's holder and leaned back to allow the ink to dry on it's own::
