| Ok, so I've been on the idea of a few hauntings that could be in the castle, the first of which, has actually been brought into a play a few times.
This haunting would be...
The Lady in Red: A woman, wearing a burned, red gown that wanders the upper floors of the castle. A recent ghost, trapped within the confines of the castle as a residual haunting. She searches for her child, unaware that she was killed during the castle fire which happened several years ago (I'm unaware of the actual time, since this happened before Val came along to Solurius).
She has been seen, by Valerie, multiple times and has even expressed such during court nights on occasion. Whether anyone believes her, afterall, she can be quite...ecclectic, is unknown.
The second haunting...
The Ornate Piano: In a forgotten room, somewhere in a less travelled area of the castle, rests an ornate, dusty, cobweb covered piano. At certain times during the year, if close enough to the forgotten room, one might hear the sound of a piano playing a beautiful, harmonious tune...that slowly becomes off-key and eventually nothing more than aweful noise. If one were actually able to witness this event, they would see the piano keys lower and raise on their own accord. As the music turns from melodic to melancholic, the ivory keys would become chipped, scratched and eventually bloody. The next morning, however, the piano would be as pristine as the day it was made, albeit, covered in dust and webs.
Why this happens? Nobody knows, and nobody has come forth to even claim they have heard or witnessed anything. (Get to it people!!) | |

| A couple of excellent suggestions for storylines, Val mun!!! Agreed, let's see what can be done with them. We did lose some (NPC) characters during the fire. As for the castle being so big there's a "forgotten" room, I thought we hired enough staff to make sure all of the rooms were cleaned thoroughly. But there I go thinking two dimensionally again! ::grins:: | |

| Soldiers and old battles are always good for castle hauntings, especially on certain dates and such-and-such year intervals, might work for Duchy/Baronies as well. |
