(Yay, I get to post the first spooky on the board! Anyway, here we go...)

Not quite haunted and not quite filled with monsters, the small town of Hawick, which resides in the "Lion's Den" area of Solurius, which was governed by one Eoin (R.I.P.), has a mystery all its own.

Nobody is quite sure how the town became what it is today, just know that, on recent record, a small group of five people have gone there and only two returned.

The stories that both patrons returned with, speak of a dense fog enshrouding the entire town. This fog actually seemed to stop, like there was an invisible wall, right at the edge of the town, never bleeding out into the surrounding, mountainous area. Both accounts speak of this fog wall, but only one speaks of horrors beyond simple, low laying clouds.

One survivor tells of creatures that appeared to look like mutilated enemies from his past. These creatures came in droves and never seemed to tire or die. It was only when the survivor forgave himself for his sins against the long dead, "real world" versions of these creatures, did they cease their attacks and simply fade into nothingness. The fog also lifted at this time, to reveal a derelect town of rotting and dilapidated houses.

When the two survivors left the town, they came upon the remains of the other three travelers, God only knows what happened to two of them, for they were mutilated beyond most forms of recognition, the third , however, had met his demise, after actually repenting his sins and escaping, from his heart giving out...from fear.

The three men were given a decent burial, beyond the outskirts of the town.

After this incident, the road to the small town of Hawick was blocked off with large boulders, allowing no one passage to the sin infested town. No people have gone anywhere near that town, since then...or have they? Twisted Evil

(In a nutshell, there is an unknown, demonic presence that has infested the town. Nobody knows when this presence started, but it seems to have "reawoken" when a man known as "McGregor" tried to summon its power for his own needs. Needless to say, he paid a hefty price for this. Now that the "town" is awake, it brings out the subconcious sins (the 7 deadlies) of whomever enters the town. The only ones that this does not apply to, would be the sinless (such as children), and those who are incarnate of sin (such as demons.))
